VandyWorks is the scheduling and staffing system used by approximately 19,000 employees across the Medical Center for requesting time off, self-scheduling, reporting, viewing their daily assignments and much more!
In 2006 the Clinical Workforce Committee saw the need for a house-wide scheduling system to support growing evidence related to nursing fatigue and increases in workplace errors. The committee worked with the Canadian company Workbrain, which is now owned by Infor to create and implement VandyWorks!
VandyWorks ensures that scheduling practices across the medical center are in compliance with the Vanderbilt Medical Center's scheduling and staffing policy, Patient Care Services: Scheduling Process CL 20-06.25.
